WEALTHY WOMEN ARE INCREASING IN NUMBER and evolving in terms of taste and lifestyle. Their wealth still comes mainly from inheritance; nevertheless, they are becoming more entrepreneurial, and their idea of success is much less money-centred than their male counterparts. We are witnessing a cultural opportunity, with women becoming wealthier and with the ‘feminisation’ of global culture. Women have the chance to be powerful, rich and influential. Women are acquiring more wealth through inheritance and via divorce pay-outs, but they’re also becoming entrepreneurs and running their own businesses. This means that the responsibility of managing and preserving family wealth increasingly is in the hands of women.
